  • SWsoft Recruits Former VMware Manager as Director of Enterprise Channel Sales


    High-Growth Company Adds Seasoned Industry Veteran to
    Lead North American Channel Initiatives

    HERNDON, Va. — March 28, 2006 – SWsoft, the leading provider of operating system virtualization and automation, today announced former VMware employee and 15-year IT veteran Darren Harvey has joined as Director of Enterprise Channel Sales in North America.

    With a proven track record in enterprise, partner and OEM sales, Harvey most recently served as Area Director for VMware, where he helped build an effective distribution strategy and was instrumental in signing marquee customers, such as Mastercard, Ford, Sprint and AON. Before that, he worked at Interwoven, a provider of enterprise content management solutions, to grow its global sales with IBM and its Websphere product. In a two-year period, he helped win American Airlines, HSBC, Hilton, and EDS business, as well as expand the Interwoven offices in Asia-Pacific.

    "Darren is a significant addition to our leadership team, with his intimate knowledge of the virtualization market and strategic North American-channel and OEM relationships.     Last year, privately held SWsoft's revenues increased more than 160 percent. The company expanded office locations, doubled headcount globally to more than 600 employees, and most significantly, experienced wide customer acceptance of its products, especially its virtualization technology offering, Virtuozzo, which is doubling revenue every three months with corporate IT customers.
