April 4, 2006.MyLifeMyWay launches a new section for information concerning missing caregiving. The section allows relatives to view important information about caregiving to elderly and disabled persons.
We cannot say exactly how long someone will live. Many times, family members and friends want to know this information. They want to prepare themselves, make plans, or know what to expect in the next few weeks or months. While doctors and nurses can give predictions of how long the person has to live, these are only estimates or best guesses. Sometimes, the guesses are accurate, but often they are not. For example, some people have lived much longer than the time predicted for them. In fact, some of these people improved, returned to work, took up their hobbies again, and enjoyed life for much longer than expected. In some cases it was months later that they slowed down, became weaker, and died.
MyLifeMyWay Caregiving information is part of the MyLifeMyWay forum which is available at
